As Music Director of European Queer Choir I’m committed to work with the choir to increase our European-wide membership and develop links with other European choirs and choral organisations.
I started my training as a Choral Director with Sing for Pleasure and having successfully completing their advanced course continued my training with the Association of British Choral Directors and in July 2017 was awarded a diploma: LRSM in Choral Direction.
I sang with Gay Abandon in Leeds for many years and whilst still training took on the role of assistant MD to Jane Edwardson. In 2011 I became Music Director of Cantabile, a chamber choir based in Leeds, a role that I continue today. As Music Director of Cantabile I’m committed to developing partnerships with other arts organisations across the region and over the past few years this has led us to perform at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, the National Media Museum, Fountains Abbey and Bolton Priory as well as undertake collaborative projects with artists and arts organisations.
